Fancy some Nessie spotting? Then this is the tour for you!
As we leave Edinburgh you are able to relax and enjoy the view as you are transported in comfort over the Forth Road Bridge. Scotland has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and as we continue north through the misted glens of Bonny Scotland you are sure to be touched by the magic and experience of the Scottish Highlands.
We continue our journey towards the Perthshire Mountains entering into the homeland of the clans! Here you can stretch your legs and enjoy a coffee before we head further into the empty wild lands of the Monadhliath Mountains and into Monarch of the glen country.
Our next stop is at Spean Bridge where you can lunch and prepare yourself for some Nessie Spotting!
On arrival at Loch Ness you will undoubtedly be taken with this Loch which is the second largest Scottish loch by surface area at 56.4 km2 (21.8 sq mi) after Loch Lomond, but due to its great depth it is the largest by volume. Its deepest point is 230 m (754 ft). You can choose to picnic on dry land or enjoy the 5 star Jacobite Loch Ness Cruise (optional extra) aboard the Royal Scot, one of the most sophisticated vessels on Loch Ness. Loch Ness will leave you with fantastic memories of Bonny Scotland to take back home with you and you may even have stories of how you were lucky enough to spot Nessie?!
On your departure from Loch Ness we travel to Ben Nevis which is Britain’s highest mountain. Enjoy afternoon refreshment at the entrance of Glencoe, which is the scene of the notorious massacre of the MacDonald Clan. Many people say that on entering Glencoe they are instantly aware of an almost eerie atmosphere that envelopes the area!
Your tour draws to an end as we make our way towards Stirling the famous back drop for the Scottish Wars of Independence. As we pass under the impressive Stirling Castle learn some of the history and stories of William Wallace and King Robert the Bruce.
As we head back across the Forth Road Bridge we take a small turn and stop at the famous Forth Rail Bridge, an ideal picture opportunity beside this huge feat of engineering. From this point we continue back into the heart of the City of Edinburgh where you tour ends leaving you with an array of memories from your day!
